Hercules is pursued by his deadly enemy, his stepmother Hera, queen of the gods, who uses many supernatural disguises to try and destroy Hercules as he searches for the lost city of Troy. His only ally is young Deianeira, a beautiful but stubborn woman whose secret destiny even outstrips that of Hercules. Excellent special effects, and beautiful outdoor shots, using New Zealand landscapes most effectively. This was the first feature released in what became a successful television series of "hour" episodes.
