Doug's happy life fall to pieces when his long-term girlfriend, Susan, suddenly dumps him. While feeling sorry for himself, an injured Shelduck crash-lands on his roof, compelling him to nurse the duck back to health. This leads him to animal specialist, Holly, and an unanticipated adventure that just might start him on the rocky road to true love. However it is not going to be an easy road for he finds that he must take the duck with him everywhere to properly nurse it and just when he thinks that his new relationship with Holly is going well, Susan wants to get back together with him. Fans of 'Queen' will enjoy their music for it is all through the film and appropriately selected for the scene or mood. Locations include many Auckland settings, especially Eden Park and Auckland Zoo. Excellent photography, sound, acting and direction comprise this humourous relationship story. Definitely recommended.
