Four Word Film Review

"We were trying within a sort of comic- book, fast- moving style for as much reality as possible, so it was fast- for- fast and stunts- for- real. We were also after a general certificate, so I had much pleasure in expunging most blood, violence (except auto- violence) and overt sex. It made me feel quite wholesome" - (Bruce Morrison in,1985 London Film Festival programme)

Stunt-drivers Robertson and Garrett help scientist Harrow keep new weapon from bad guys. Which is nothing more than an excuse for a classy car chase movie with a lot of spectacular stunts. One for the little boys, and quite efficient on that level, although the patronizing American attitude towards New Zealanders can irritate. (Nicholas Reid - 'A Decade of New Zealand Film').
