American tattoo artist Jake wanders the world, exploring and exploiting ethnic themes in his designs. At a tattoo expo in Singapore, he gets his first glimpse into the world of traditional Samoan tattoo and unwittingly unleashes a powerful angry spirit. In his journey into Pacific mysticism, Jake must find a way to save his new love and recover his own soul. Will undoubtedly appeal to tattoo advocates, especially those who adhere to any mystic aspects of the art. It is a bit messier (bloody) than I felt necessary and why the hip-hop? Excellent production values with appropriate original music. Mostly filmed in the Auckland district of Otara. Worth a view, if you go for mid-violent, fantasy-horror.
