A dog idol is stolen from the island of Takabaru, which is suppose to have rejuvenative powers. Thereafter, various characters are trying to use its anti-aging powers to make a sellable potion. The film is mostly relies on slapstick and sight gags to carry it. Don't expect a script with depth, and its humour depends upon ones tastes.

AVAILABILITY OF VHS OR DVD COPIES

No known current source for new copies in any format. Best bet would be trying various New Zealand sources for used VHS-PAL copies.

25 November 2007 - An R0 PAL DVD is available from Spanish sources, along with other New Zealand films that are available from no other country, including New Zealand. This dvd is presented 1.33:1 with Spanish 5.1 and the original English 2.0. It also has Spanish subtitles and includes some Spanish text bios and still photos. Arrangements have been made for an internet dealer that can supply these titles to provide a "New Zealand Cinema" sub-section to his catalogue so that you can access it conveniently.
