The listings of the following suggested sites are not meant to imply that they are the only websites that sell New Zealand videos, DVDs or CDs, but are ones that sell a larger than typical number of titles. I have purchased from all these businesses and so I have enough history with them to generally recommend them, but please let me know if you have a less than pleasant purchasing experience. In the case of used items - understand that you will sometimes be dealing with individuals, rather than long established businesses, and therefore should be a bit more careful in your dealings. I have had only two undesirable experiences with individuals - and neither was major; this is out of over 50 such purchases. To date, all my purchases from established businesses have ultimately been satisfactory. In other words, errors were completely corrected including the supplier refunding my return shipping charges as well as the purchase costs. I have never had a credit or debit account problem, and have made over 90% of my payments that way. In many cases, I have used PayPal, which I can comfortably recommend.

Obtaining soundtrack CDs of New Zealand films is both simpler and more difficult, depending upon whether you want a more recent or older title. If the CD was release during the last 5 years, then you should be able to locate it at:

The Centre for New Zealand Music has new copies of MEMORY & DESIRE, THE QUIET EARTH and UTU.
Titles such as BROKEN ENGLISH, FOOTROT FLATS, NAVIGATOR, ANGEL AT MY TABLE may still be available from CD Express.
Titles such as RACE TO THE YANKEE ZEPHYR and SECOND TIME LUCKY are still available from 1M1Records
Some rental businesses stand out, from the perspective of New Zealand titles. Of course, you would expect the best selection to be found in New Zealand, and you would be correct, however they do not rent to locations outside of NZ. It then comes down to finding businesses that carry a large number of titles and that usually means online, internet only sources. I am making no recommendations, nor implying anything by leaving someone off this listing. I welcome any suggestions regarding other online sources with a high number of New Zealand titles for rent.
