Basically, this is a comedy about a film crew making a New Zealand reality tv show about a couple brought together by a dating service. However due to their being incompatible, the film crew tries to manipulate them to get the film they want for the show. This is a mockumentary film within a film that was done with an absurdly small budget over a number of years (shades of Jackson's Bad Taste). When post-production, publicity, distribution and other non-principal filming activities required additional funds, the director went to the internet and asked for donations, with only the promise of getting their names in the credits. Amazingly it worked and I can report that the finished product is far better than I expected and contains some aspects that are actually unique - watch for the occational unrelated background activity, especially during the restaurant scene. Recommended.
