Recorded at Town Hall, Wellington, NZ, on October 28 and 29, 1982.
Art Direction: Bruce Bath and John Steven Lasher; Mixing Engineer: Garry Clark;
Original LP released on Southern Cross SCRS 1008 in March, 1984.
Players: New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, conducted by William Southgate.
Maori Flute: Joe Malcolm; Waiatas: Jane and Paul Mareikura, Rangi Dewes.
Original soundtrack was mono, but remixed in 1993 into Dolby Stereo for the CD release.
NOTE: Utu was the first New Zealand film to use the full New Zealand Symphony Orchestra.
