Slow West tells the story of sixteen-year-old Jay Cavendish as he travel from Scotland to Colorado in pursuit of his lost love. Quickly confronted by the dangers of the American frontier, he teams up with a mysterious traveller, Silas, who agrees to protect him - for a price. Jay's quest will be one of double-crossing, violence and peril as the guileless adolescent learns that the West takes no pity, least of all on the innocent.

AVAILABILITY OF COPIES

Starting 07 July 2015, an NTSC R1 DVD can be purchased from US sources for $20-25. The feature is presented in a 1.65:1 format, 16x9 enhanced, with a DD Surround 5.1 English language track. There are optional English and Spanish subtitles. On the same date, it was also released on 1080p Region A Blu-ray selling for $18-25us.
It was also released from Canadian resellers for $16-25ca for the NTSC DVD and $18-30ca for the Blu-ray with an English DTS-HD MA 5.1 soundtrack. The Blu-ray has English and Spanish subtitle options. There is a "Making of" extra of 7:19 minutes and two deleted scenes, Hunter's Cabin (4:35min) and 'Am Bata Uaine' sung by Ali 'Beag' Macleod (4:09min.). The extras have no subtitle options and the English soundtrack is DD 2.0. There are also four, front loaded, unrelated trailers. They are strung together as one for a total of 8:35 minutes; 'Ex-Machina', 'Cutbank', 'Beyond the Reach' and 'The Homesman'.

It became available from Australian sources starting 29 July 2015 with the R4 DVD at $25-30au and Region B 1080i Blu-ray at $30-35au.
New Zealand resellers, in both DVD($30-35nz) and a 1080i Blu-ray($35-40nz), started 30 September 2015.
Both DVD and Blu-ray had UK releases starting 02 November 2015, selling for 20# and 25# respectively.
German DVD and Blu-ray offerings started 03 December 2015, selling for about 14eur. They contain both spoken German and English DTS-HD 5.1 language tracks and optional English and German subtitles. Extras include 'On Strange Land' featurette, both English and German trailers and some additional scenes.
