Set in Invercargill in the early 1990's, the film follows Nige and his mate Deano's misadventures as they struggle with their imploding friendship which has been under pressure by an accident involving a hot meat pie, a ginger cat and the untimely death of a Norwegian soccer star. Nige chucks the dead body in a road works hole and runs to Deano for help. Trouble is, Deano's not really the guy you should turn to in a crisis. Shot in Invercargill and the Catlins of Southland. I feel the best aspects of this film are the locations and its photography. Nige is pathetic and Deano is psychotic. At least the ending has a degree of justice.
