Yes, this is a sequel to ONCE WERE WARRIORS, but this script can stand alone. Five years have passed and Jake has turned his back on his family. He is still up to his drinking and fighting at bars. Now his eldest son has died in a gang fight, and an uncomfortable "family reunion" at the funeral sets off number two son, Sonny, with he and Jake taking off on each other. Now it is Sonny being drawn into gang life, but this time Jake is beginning a journey of change to responsibility. Recommended.

AVAILABILITY OF COPIES

New R2 PAL DVDs can be obtained from European sources for under 10#, but they are NOT presented in the original widescreen format.
The only legal R1 ntsc versions are ones from Latin American countries under the title, 'Somos Guerreros 2". They have the original English soundtrack with Spanish subtitles and are occationally being offered at ebay and Amazon - priced $40-50.
R4 copies are available from NZ sources for under $20nz, and from Australian sources for about $20au. The DVD is presented 1.75:1 with dolby digital 2.0 or 5.1 options. Extras include a "Making of" featurette(21:49); a short music video of Che-Fu singing his hit single, 'Waka'(3:36); the theatrical trailer(1:49); two TV ads (1min.); still photo gallery and text biographies. The only subtitle is English.
